Raspberry Pi Software Engineer William Vinnicombe will be speaking at the Zephyr Developer Summit at this year’s Open Source Summit Europe. William will be joined by Magpie Embedded’s Tim Guite, who has been upstreaming Raspberry Pi Pico support into the Zephyr OS.

Their talk, ‘A Slice of Zephyr Pi’, will cover the current state of Zephyr support for Raspberry Pi microcontrollers and explain how developers can contribute to further improvements. Topics will include support for Rust and RISC-V, as well as the unique Programmable I/O (PIO) found on Raspberry Pi devices. The session will also showcase open source applications and hardware built on the combination of Zephyr and Raspberry Pi, along with some tips for using them in your own projects.
