DESCRIPTION:Most software engineers have never held a circuit board with th
 eir own code running on it. Pi Jam Uyo is built to change that — in a si
 ngle afternoon.\n\nThis is a hybrid hackathon jam held in Uyo\, Akwa Ibom\
 , open to developers of all levels who want to experience the physical wor
 ld their software could be touching. Working in small teams around a Raspb
 erry Pi 5 and Pico 2 microcontrollers\, participants choose one of five bu
 ild challenges: running a fully offline AI agent (no cloud\, no API key) t
 hat can read real sensor data\; building a smart plug energy monitor that 
 visualises live power consumption\; setting up a Pi-hole DNS server that b
 locks ads for every device on the network\; wiring a temperature/humidity 
 sensor to a live Grafana dashboard\; or building a personal weather statio
 n from scratch.\n\nWe open with a short talk on the hardware industry — 
 drones\, defence\, industrial IoT\, agritech — where embedded software i
 s not a side project but the core product. We'll also cover how to source 
 hardware locally in Nigeria (Swiftberry.ng\, Microscale.ng) and internatio
 nally.\n\nBy the end of the session\, every team will have something real 
 running on real hardware — and a clear idea of what to build next.\n\nSu

  who writes code and wants to know what happens when it leaves the screen.
