VANISH with this introductory wizarding workshop on AI with Python OpenCV to create an invisibility cloak in a Harry Potter style.
When you wrap the cloak around you or hide behind it you will vanish on camera!! You can use Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 for this. OpenCV takes quite a while to install but there is a trick to it. You’ll also need a camera which is compatible with gPhoto software[1], and a large single-coloured piece of material, such as a sheet, to use as a green screen. It doesn’t have to be green but you’ll need to adjust for the detected colour in the code and wear a different colour yourself.
[1] Check this list of cameras that work with gPhoto software to make sure yours is suitable: http://gphoto.org/proj/libgphoto2/support.php
