With all the football/soccer excitement going on just beyond Rhode Island’s borders, Providence Geeks and Rhode Island Computer Museum decided to join in the fun. We’re teaming up with Sons of Liberty Spirits Co. to bring you an evening of soccer-themed retro gaming: the first installment of Nostalgia Cafe.
We’ll have several stations set up with retro consoles and computers. Come and try some classic soccer games on systems like the Atari ST, BBC Micro, Nintendo Entertainment System, Atari 2600, and Raspberry Pi. We’ll also have the ZX Spectrum running in emulation on the small but mighty Raspberry Pi Pico microcontroller board.
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as light snacks, are available for sale at Sons of Liberty. Rhode Island Computer Museum will also provide some food for munching as well. Please note: the Sons of Liberty tasting room becomes 21+ after 5pm.
