Celebrate Raspberry Pi’s Birthday!
A Raspberry Pi is a tiny computer (just a few inches square) for makers and coders. It can be used almost anywhere that computing would be required. Some example uses are:
- The “brain” for a robot or drone
- To control a DIY 3D printer
- Home automation
- Internet of Things
- DIY security systems
- Filtering ads from your home network
- A media server to stream content to devices
Raspberry Pi is a great way to learn about computer programming, using Linux/Unix, and computer networking. You can even use a Raspberry Pi to calculate pi to the 314,159th place!
A demonstration of several models of Raspberry Pi will be available, and there is potential for a Raspberry Pi 5 giveaway!
