Raspberry Pi Camera Module Awareness

Community event hosted by Troy McGuire

This event is organised by and for Raspberry Pi enthusiasts.

13 Apr 2024

1.00pm – 3.00pm PDT

22477 Highway 62

Shady Cove, OR, United States

Details

Raspberry Pis are small computers. Some of them are about the size of a thumb drive! They can be used for almost anything you can dream up, including processing images from a camera!

Still images, video streaming, and even infrared video are all possible using a Raspberry Pi camera in combination with a Raspberry Pi computer, like the tiny Raspberry Pi Zero.

Come see how it all works! You can even write Python scripts to customize your own functionality. Want to receive a text whenever there is movement near your front door? Want to see which critters are eating your garden veggies at night? Does your robot need a vision system? How about streaming the video to another computer for object recognition? It’s all possible!

There will be a give-away for a Raspberry Pi Zero, and one of the camera modules, to a participant of this event.
